Email from HeatherandKarl.com

As our wedding gets closer, Heather and I are getting more and more excited. Heather’s putting her energy into practical things that actually help us get ready for the wedding. Picking out colors, looking at dresses, hotel arrangements, menu choices, and flowers.

Not me. I’m exploring ways to make this site cooler and cooler. I plan on sharing details, not only about the wedding, but about how the story of Heather and Karl began; our first date, the way I popped the question, and some of our finer moments. Today I’m doing two things. One is finding a way to play audio through the site, the other is to set up email notifications so that when I do post, you get notified each time there’s something new on our page.

I’ve subscribed many of you, and if you wish to unsubscribe, you can click here. I promise our feelings won’t be hurt. If you didn’t get an email from us, but would like to subscribe, you can do it at this link. You’ll be asked for your email address, and the site will send you a confirmation message. Be sure to click the link in the email and you’ll be added to the list.

Engagement Party Pictures

We’ve been back from Kentucky for three days already? Man, time flies when you have a lot of work to catch up on. Heather has a photo site with lots of her pictures, but I thought I’d include a slideshow from the other night here on our site. It’s really cool getting all the comments from people here.

In case you’re wondering, we did manage to fit 8 of the bottles from our party in our luggage, and they all made it back. The remaining bottles and blender will be making there way here by Christmas when Heather’s Mom and Brother come out to visit. Thanks again to everyone. Getting gifts is cool.

CA - KY Wedding

Heather and I are in Louisville for another wedding between a couple from Kentucky and California.  Last night was the big night for Katie and Michael.  Congratulations again to both families, it was a wonderful event.

It’s nice being back here… now that it’s my third trip here I actually know people’s names and enjoyed the chance to reconnect with them.  I still have no idea where I am most of the time when I visit, but that’s another story.

Tonight’s our engagement party.  Mark and Sarah are champions.  It’s really nice of them to host the event for us. It’s also my first opportunity to see the Peterson-Dumesnil House. They’re decorating it for the holidays this afternoon, so I probably won’t post any pictures, but I’m ready to see the space where our wedding will be next fall.

340 more days

I’m writing this on November 14th, and we still have 340 days until our wedding. It seems like a long way away, but I’m sure it will be here before we know it. Tonight I added a countdown to the site so that each time you visit this site, you’ll see how many more days before the big day.

Peterson-Dumesnil House

The wedding will be at the historic Peterson-Dumesnil House in Louisville, KY. It will look a thousand times more beautiful with my lovely bride (and all our beautiful guests) in it, but for now, here’s a picture to whet your appetite.

Fall Wedding

I’ve only seen pictures of this site. I can’t wait until our Thanksgiving vacation in Louisville so I can see it with my own eyes.

Welcome to our Wedding website.

The story of Heather and Karl is just getting started. This site is starting off as our wedding website, but I hope it’s a place where we can share pictures and stories from our life together even after the wedding’s finished.
